I have had an account for three years but have managed not to use it. Somehow I’ve skipped the era when posting on Facebook was trendy, not that I was sleeping in the clouds, although I question myself a lot about that post factum.
Oh my God, when I began to see how other people live, dress, and what kind of houses and jets they have, I was glad I did not see them before. After Instagram posts, my life seemed dull and quiet. There, people motivated, were doing endless self-improvement marathons, or were getting enlightened under Bali’s palms…
I was looking at the profiles of all these people daring to leave the corporate world and become entrepreneurs and was dreaming – one day I will be like them. This happened years later. In between, I was using Linkedin to change jobs, get a career promotion, to keep track of how my ex-colleagues were doing. Again, it was pretty handy for the person without Facebook and Instagram.
As much as I was trying to avoid Social media, there is no better way to attract new clients and increase sales. This week I made a test (unintentionally) – I posted the same post twice – the first to my network and the other to the professional group.
The results were tremendously different. The first one got 70 likes and reached out to less than 3000 people within 4- 5 days. The other one, within 24 hours, received almost 20 000 views, 270 likes, and around ten business requests to #Steppebystep www.steppebystep.com for training courses. TEN!
